Atlanta, GA – July 19, 2024 – Shine2Inspire, a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging wealth divides while promoting inclusivity and equity in entrepreneurship, education and sports, is thrilled to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of the Gatorade Equity in Sports Community Grant for the 2024-2025 period. This grant is a part of Gatorade’s Equity in Sports Initiative, which aims to break down barriers to play and elevate communities through the power of sport.

About the Gatorade Equity in Sports Community Grant Program

Launched in Spring 2022, the Gatorade Equity in Sports Community Grant Program is a vital component of Gatorade’s broader initiative to ensure equity and access for all athletes. The program focuses on three core areas:

  • Programs: Providing resources for community programs that create safe and welcoming environments for kids to play.
  • Access: Offering access to sports facilities, equipment, apparel, and transportation.
  • Training: Educating coaches to be champions of equity and inclusion.

Gatorade collaborates with national organizations, such as Athlete Ally, Good Sports, Honest Game Foundation, Laureus USA, Move United, Up2Us Sports, and the Women’s Sports Foundation, to co-develop programming, measures, and actions that advance equity in sports.

Shine2Inspire’s Commitment to Equity in Sports

Shine2Inspire was selected as a grant recipient due to its dedication to providing opportunities in sports for underrepresented athletes and those impacted by barriers that limit play. The organization’s programs continue to drive positive change and impact within the community, aligning perfectly with the goals of the Gatorade Equity in Sports Initiative.
